Station Soccer In Full Swing

Station Soccer is off to a great start in 2018, further validating the successes of 2017. This time last year, the first free trial adult soccer leagues were ending, and it was unclear if players would return for another paid season. Since then, over $50,000 has been raised for children in Atlanta through Station Soccer adult programming, including public and corporate leagues, adult pick-up, and private events and tournaments.

The ATL soccer community has made Station Soccer theirs, providing funds to sustain free youth programming through adult pay-to-play.

The winter seasons are coming to an end, with 16 teams across two nights duking it out for the championship. Last year’s dominant Thursday night team, ATL United, won 3 out of 4 league championships in 2017 and won a 4th league championship last week. Enzo’s Team returned after a few seasons away to take the Wednesday night league championship to cap off a very competitive season. We even had a team from the Georgia Revolution place second in the Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five Atlanta Qualifier after winning a pre-qualifier at Station Soccer.

We’re set to start our spring MARTA soccer league, April 3rd. This league is for MARTA employees and promotes camaraderie between coworkers and healthy lifestyles for everyone. It was especially a pleasure last season to watch the MARTA players, many of whom had never played soccer before, adopt the sport and improve their skills in such a short amount of time. We run a similar league with the City of Atlanta for their employees, and we’ll be starting that league in April. Let us know if your organization would like to get out and play while supporting kids at Station Soccer!

There are a few other upcoming Station Soccer events that we’re excited about. These include an international tournament celebrating the World Cup, a Lawyers World Cup, a Berry College Reunion Day, and a fun play-day hosted by Georgia State University. Our spring adult soccer leagues have also begun registration for the spring season. Below, you can find information on different programs, including our adult soccer leagues, adult pick-up soccer, and free youth sessions:
