YOUNG PROFESSIONALS COMMITTEE

The Next 11: A Young Professionals Committee

ABOUT

Kids playing soccer! Seems so simple, right? Not here in Atlanta – where opportunity is too often determined by zip code. Our work breaking down these barriers is filled with moments of joy, struggle, resilience, and hope.

We’re building the Next 11, a committee designed to give successful young professionals a way to gain board-relevant experience while being able to give back to their community through a proven nonprofit that helps ignite the change Atlanta’s communities desperately need.

We change kids’ lives. How can you help?

MISSION

Next 11 aims to shape the future of philanthropy in Atlanta by supporting young, local professionals. The committee creates opportunities for young professionals to develop new relationships and expand their skill sets while being able to give back to the marginalized communities through existing and/or newly created programs within Soccer in the Streets.

GOALS

  1. Growth: Increase membership base of the committee to create a pipeline of candidates for sub-committees

  2. Impact: Increase the exposure to opportunity for our youth in Soccer in the Streets programs by supporting existing programs or by creating new programs

  3. Increase engagement in the Soccer in the Streets fundraising tournaments and events by recruiting captains, players/participants, and sponsors

  4. Support: Provide all committee members with networking opportunities, board-related experience, and a chance to provide service to the community
