Following Atlanta’s role as a FIFA World Cup 2026™ host city, Cox Enterprises, Georgia Power and Georgia-Pacific partnered with Soccer in the Streets to continue the tournament’s local impact through youth soccer, sustainability and community investment. The “Play with Purpose” campaign unites Atlanta businesses to reduce landfill waste and support the city’s next generation of soccer players. The initiative created over 1,000 new jerseys for our youth athletes to wear as their new Fall 2026 kits!
Families came together on August 14 for a free community jamboree to kick off the fall season and finally see the six exclusive jersey designs inspired by the Atlanta neighborhoods and MARTA stations where our StationSoccer teams play.
● The new Lindbergh StationSoccer jersey honors the legacy of renowned aviator Charles Lindbergh with a unique, graphic airplane wing design.
● The new East Point StationSoccer jerseys give a nod to some of the best to come out of the neighborhood: OutKast.
● The new West End StationSoccer jerseys reflect the local colleges and universities that surround this MARTA station with a subtle design of books and education.
● The new Kensington StationSoccer jerseys are bright, colorful and playful, just like the iconic art fixtures and murals that surround the field.
● The new East Lake StationSoccer jerseys pay homage to the abundance of art murals showcasing flowers, trees and other natural elements.
● The new H.E. Holmes StationSoccer jerseys mirror the abstract hexagonal patterns that can be found throughout the MARTA station at the field.

Moving forward, twelve recycling bins will be placed across Soccer in the Streets fields as a place for players to drop off old jerseys to be recycled into additional jerseys for our youth teams. The initiative expects to keep 5-6 tons of waste out of landfills over three years. It took 5-6 plastic bottles to make just one of these new jerseys! Soccer in the Streets makes soccer more accessible to Atlanta children through free youth programs and StationSoccer fields located at MARTA stations. These new jerseys and partnerships further amplify our commitment to connect sustainability, transit access and youth sport development.
